It's a thrilling new year, guys!
Your boy BlackMamba is back again, bringing all the latest tea from the sports section.
Hope you enjoyed the spice we served up last year before our official launch, because trust me, this year is going to be even hotter.
My I’s are dotted, my T’s are crossed, and we have a lot to catch up on in the world of football!
In this edition, we’re diving straight into the latest bombshell, Pep Guardiola’s divorce drama.
Wild, right? 😂 A 30-year marriage going down the drain just like that.
But the real question is, what led to this shocking split?
Devastating, to say the least.

It used to feel like Pep Guardiola walked on water. Now, the 53-year-old Man City manager appears to be struggling. Here we detail his difficult year.
Pep Guardiola was once one of the most envied men in football.
The 53-year-old Catalan football manager went from strength to strength in his career, with three titles claimed at Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively, before going on to make history with Manchester City by winning the Premier League four seasons in a row.
Oh, and he’s won the Champions League three times too, actually a mind blowing stat to me idk about you.
Many felt that watching Guardiola’s winning streak was like watching history: a chance to see another manager, not seen in the Premier League since the likes of Alex Ferguson, at the top of his game. In the 2017/18 season, his win streak lasted for 30 games. His power only seemed to intensify in recent years with the addition of high profile signings like Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish(which is turning out to be a fluke). His players were gods, his managerial prowess the stuff of legend.

Then it all came crashing down. In October 2024, Man City started to lose. A lot. Before this, the only time Guardiola had lost four successive games in a row was back in 2015, when he was manager at Bayern. As for City, the team hadn't lost four games in a row in any competition since 2006, two years before the historic Abu Dhabi takeover of the club and 10 years before Guardiola's arrival.
By the end of November Pep had lost five successive games for the first time in his career. Man City dropped from top of the league to a current position of sixth.
This week it was revealed why Pep might be losing steam. The manager is separating from his wife and partner of 30 years, 52-year-old fashion businesswoman Cristina Serra. Guardiola met Serra in 1994 while he was still a midfielder for Barcelona and they were both teenagers. After falling in love at 18 years old, the couple stayed together throughout Pep’s rise to fame and eventually married in 2014.
When Guardiola was eyeing up Premier League clubs before joining Man City for the 2016/17 season, Serra was reportedly drawn in by the lure of London, hoping her husband would priortise a move to Arsenal or Chelsea.
However, he settled on Manchester, where she was less fond of. Indeed, by 2019 it was revealed that the pair were living apart, with Serra splitting between the UK and Barcelona. She was reported to be priortising work back home, where her family run the successful designer boutique Serra Claret.
Guardiola has spoken publicly about his wife many times and is usually praising her. In January 2024, he said:
My wife is the best in the world at many things, especially fashion. She says normally to me, don't wear this or wear that, so I follow. I'm smart enough to know when people are much better than me, follow their advice.
As well as the divorce, people are pointing out other aspects of Pep’s particularly hard year but that would be out of focus all in all we hope for the outcome and a sound coach to rival the other coaches.
I feel that this might be the trigger he needs to lock in and set things straight in the dressing room with his players.
Manchester City take on Ipswich this weekend I honestly feel that’s a death for Ipswich because city will be coming out with bloody eyes.
That’s all for this article, stay tuned for more guys.
Very rough 6 months for Pep, by his standards. City fans wanna blame Rodri’s injury for their dip in form lmao. Tbh, not more than 5 players on that squad are consistently reliable right now. Whether Pep had personal drama going on or not
