Hey guys, it’s Basit and this time, I’m diving into a bit of motorsport; Vroom vroom and all that.

In the world of Formula 1, few moves have sent shockwaves through the sport like Lewis Hamilton’s decision to join Ferrari for the 2025 season.

The seven-time world champion, a name synonymous with Mercedes dominance, is now draped in Ferrari red, a sight that once seemed unimaginable. But Hamilton has never been one to follow convention. His move isn’t just a driver switch; it’s a seismic shift, one that cements his status as the most transcendent figure in modern F1.

The Weight of the Prancing Horse

Ferrari is more than just a team; it’s an institution. The Scuderia has long been the dream seat for many drivers, but it comes with immense pressure. The last time Ferrari won a drivers’ title was in 2007 with Kimi Räikkönen, and since then, the team has been chasing glory with near-misses and frustrating misfires. Hamilton’s arrival is meant to change that.

For Ferrari, this is a statement of intent. After years of inconsistency, signing Hamilton is their clearest signal yet that they are done playing second fiddle to Red Bull and Mercedes. But Ferrari’s struggles aren’t just about talent behind the wheel, it’s about delivering a car that can consistently fight for championships. Can Hamilton be the missing piece?

A Legacy Beyond Titles.

Hamilton’s move to Ferrari isn’t just about chasing an eighth title, though that would be historic. It’s about legacy. He is the most influential driver of his generation, a global icon who transcends motorsport. His impact stretches from breaking barriers as the first Black F1 champion to redefining what it means to be an athlete in the modern era, engaging in fashion, music, activism, and business ventures while still performing at the highest level.

I mean, even those who don’t watch or know anything about F1 would recognise his face. Ultimate aura pull if there ever was one. Who says you can’t be a top racer and look good while doing it?

Michael Schumacher had Ferrari. Senna had McLaren. Hamilton has rewritten the record books with Mercedes, an engine he spent an incredible 26 years racing with but this move gives him the chance to add one final chapter to his story, winning with the most famous team in F1 history.

What This Means for F1.

Beyond Hamilton and Ferrari, this shift shakes up the entire grid. With Mercedes scrambling for a new era post-Hamilton and Ferrari gaining the most successful driver of all time, the 2025 season is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated in years. If Red Bull’s dominance continues, can Hamilton be the one to break it? Will Mercedes regret letting go of their

greatest-ever driver? And how will Charles Leclerc respond to a living legend stepping into his team?

Hamilton’s move is bigger than just a contract, it’s a declaration.

Even at 40, he isn’t done. He’s chasing history, challenging himself in a way that only the greats do. And as he steps into that scarlet Ferrari for the first time, the entire world will be watching.

F1 is officially on Red Notice. Bye for now.

I would love to see him race with Ferrari for at least 3 years, because then a DC would be almost certain. Anyways, this season hasn’t started in the best way possible but we’re seated. And yes! The world IS watching.

I told myself a top 5 finish for him this season will do. But I always suspected 2026 will be his year, with Ferrari having confidence in extracting a lot from their power unit as the new regulations come in
